Ranna Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: 1 October 2025

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of the Ranna website, mobile ordering, phone ordering, loyalty programme, promotions, and services operated by Kaptan Group Ltd (trading as Ranna). By placing an order, browsing our website, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Company Information

Ranna is part of the Kaptan Group Ltd and operates the following sites:

  • Ranna (Bow) – Bow Indian Ltd
  • Ranna (Dalston) – Dalston Indian Ltd
  • Ranna (Old Kent) – Old Kent Indian Ltd
  • Ranna (Walthamstow) – Walthamstow Indian Ltd
  • Ranna (South Woodford) – Derby Food Ltd

2. Eligibility

By ordering from us, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • You have legal capacity to enter into contracts.
  • You are not prohibited by law from entering into these Terms.

3. Orders & Contract Formation

Orders may be placed via our website, phone, or through third-party platforms (Uber Eats, Just Eat, Deliveroo).

  • When you place an order, you will receive an Order Acknowledgement (not acceptance).
  • A binding Contract is only formed when we dispatch your order or confirm it is ready for collection.
  • We may decline orders at our discretion (e.g., outside delivery areas, after cut-off times, unusually large orders without notice).
  • Large party orders may require at least 24 hours' notice.

4. Verification & Information Accuracy

We may carry out verification and security checks to prevent fraud. You confirm all information provided is accurate and agree to update it promptly.

5. Prices & Payment

  • Prices include VAT. Delivery charges are shown separately at checkout.
  • A surcharge of £0.35 applies to all online card payments.
  • Cash payments (where available) do not incur this surcharge.
  • Prices may change without notice. If there is an obvious error, we will contact you. You may proceed at the corrected price or cancel for a full refund.
  • Payment must be received before we process your order.

6. Delivery & Collection

  • Free delivery within 2.5 miles on orders over £25.
  • £1 delivery charge applies on orders between £15 – £24.
  • £2 delivery charge applies on orders between £8 – £14 (minimum order value is £8).
  • Higher delivery charges may apply for deliveries into the London Congestion Charge Zone or long-distance deliveries.
  • Delivery is subject to availability within specific postcode areas, which may change from time to time.
  • Delivery times are estimates only and may be affected by traffic, weather, or other factors outside our control.
  • Collection orders must be picked up within the agreed timeframe.
  • A £0.20 bag charge applies to all takeaway and delivery orders requiring a bag, in line with UK law.

7. Cancellations, Refunds & Perishable Goods

  • The legal cooling-off period does not apply to perishable food.
  • Cancellations must be made within 10 minutes of order confirmation and before preparation begins.
  • If preparation has started, cancellation/refund may not be possible.
  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7–10 working days.

8. Damaged or Incorrect Items

  • If food is damaged or incorrect, contact us promptly.
  • We may replace the item, offer a suitable alternative, or refund the affected item(s).
  • Where returns are required, we may cover reasonable return costs with proof.

9. Allergens, Dietary Information & Disclaimers

  • All food is prepared in kitchens handling nuts, gluten, dairy, and other allergens. We cannot guarantee any dish is 100% allergen-free.
  • Customers with allergies or dietary requirements must contact us before ordering.

Vegan Dishes:

  • Our vegan dishes are typically made without the use of animal products.
  • Vegetable oils used may be derived from genetically modified (GM) soybeans.
  • As food is prepared in shared kitchens, there is always a risk of cross-contamination with non-vegan items.

Allergens & Cross-Contamination:

  • Due to the risk of cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee allergen-free food preparation.
  • However, we take all reasonable steps to minimise this risk.

Fish Dishes:

  • Some fish dishes may contain bones. Please take care when consuming.

We take allergens and dietary requirements seriously. Please contact us directly for further information or guidance before placing an order.

10. Promotions, Discounts & Loyalty

General Rules:

  • Promotions are subject to these Terms in addition to individual promotion rules.
  • Promotions cannot be combined with each other, loyalty rewards, or stamp cards unless stated.
  • Exclusions: Offers do not apply to Set Meals, Platters, Combi Meals, seafood, or drinks.
  • Discounts apply only at checkout and cannot be applied retrospectively.
  • Promo codes, vouchers, and stamp cards are non-transferable, have no cash value, and are only valid for use online or at the store assigned.

Current Promotions:

  1. One-Time 25% Discount (Promo Code: Ranna25): For first-time or returning customers. Minimum spend £20. Valid dine-in, collection, delivery. Ends 30 April 2026.
  2. VIP Loyalty Membership – 20% Discount: £25 annual fee, 20% off all orders for member + family. Minimum spend £20. Valid for 12 months. Code issued within 2–3 days.
  3. 10% Online Discount (Promo Code: online): Minimum spend £15. Valid for collection & delivery only. Ends 31 December 2026.
  4. Stamp Card Rewards: £1 = 2 points; 1 point = 1p. Separate account required per store. Redeemable anytime. Valid dine-in, collection, delivery.

11. Accounts & Security

  • You are responsible for keeping your login details secure.
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts for misuse.

12. Intellectual Property

  • All content, trademarks, and designs are owned by Ranna or licensed to us.
  • You may not copy or reproduce our materials without written permission.

13. Website Use

  • Access is temporary and may be withdrawn without notice.
  • You must not misuse the site (malware, hacking, denial-of-service).
  • We are not responsible for third-party links or content.
  • Materials are provided for general information only.

14. Liability

  • For order-related claims, liability is limited to the amount paid for the affected order.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (profit, revenue, data, anticipated savings, etc.).
  • Nothing excludes liability for death/personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other non-excludable liabilities.

We aim to acknowledge within 2 working days and resolve within 10 working days.

16. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our control, including strikes, power outages, extreme weather, epidemics, or government restrictions.

17. Privacy & Cookies

Our Privacy & GDPR Policy and Cookies Policy form part of these Terms. By using our services, you also agree to those policies.

18. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by English law. The courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
